Airport nerves
Wednesday, June 20, 2007
Okay so its real! I am one hour away from stepping on to a plane headed to London. Then there is no turning back. I'm pretty calm surprisingly. Leaving the family at the airport was rough but Meg snuck a note into my backpack. I read it a few minutes ago and it made me feel better. I actually laughed out loud ...people in the airport looked at me strange. She put the funny halloween picture in the card. Just what I needed to calm my nerves. I can't even imagine what those first moments in Kenya will be like - even the airport will be different. I'm definitely nervous but confident that it will totally be worth it.
