Yesterday was very busy at school. I was asked about abortion, gays and lesbians, Michael Jackson and professional wrestlers in America. I was questioned by the teachers. I would have rather been in class. After school I helped Judy and Purtiy write outlines for their essays. I think they will be quite good. When I cam home I helped Mama in the kitchen. First we collected firewood which is near where Fafa pounds stones into gravel. That is is job. I would be so bored. Some people walked by and were surprised to see a mzungu gathering firewood. I hope it improved their oppinion of white people. When we came back to the house I washed the dishes and then plaed with the rabbits with Lawrence. Later we started cooking. It was my job to peal the potatoes and it took me forever! It was a big knife with no handle and the potatoes were the size of walnuts. There were lots of them too. Very hard work for me and I had blisters by the time I was done. Mama started making the chapatis with wheat flour, water, and salt. The dough is rolled out and then put on a a frying pan of sorts over the fire. Then fat (probably lard) is put on the pan so it doesn't stick. Then it is flipped. They are very tastey! I said I would try to make American pancakes one day. Then we cooked the stew of cabbage potatoes, tomatoe and onion. It was a late dinner, around 9pm. Very satisfying though. Last night it rained again and it was quite cold in the morning and it stayed chilling in the afternoon too. So much for washing my hair At school today I filled in for a teacher in class 5 science. Im not sure they understood everthing but it was a nice change of pace. I also had two creative arts clases. In one we did camp songs and in the other we made color wheels and learned some basic color theory. Both went very well I think. I am eating SO much! I thought I would loose weight not gain. And it looks as if I won't really be able to run. Pretty sure I'd get some dirty looks if I wore short running shorts. Not to mention they dont really have a concept of excersicing for the sake of fitness. Their daily life is more than enough excercise.

The children love the camp song Boom chica boom. But most of the others have too many words for them to remeber easily. Duck duck goose was a favorite in PE. I got my hair printed this week. At first it was itchy but now I'm used to it and I don't need to worry about washing it so much.
