So I talked to Mom last night and found out that she has already sent 5 boxes of supplies! I hope they will arrive soon - creative arts is becoming a real challenge. I am running out of things to do with just pencil and paper. It was really good to talk to her. I hadn't realized it had been so long...three weeks or more. I only called her the first night I was here.

Today I heard a bit of gossip about the girls I am working with in the environmental club after school. They are cliquey and dramatic just like middle school girls at home. I guess some things really are universal...joy. I'm glad I am starting to know more of the students though, so I have a better understanding of the school as a whole.

I am starting to become alittle more friendly with the teachers. Especially Miss Nyaga. Mrs. Njeru, Mrs. Nyaga, and Mr. Kariuki are also talking to me more. And english is become alittle more common. I hope this weekend I can hang out with the other volunteers. I have been really busy visiting this week so I havn't had much time to go up to their camp. Maybe we can go to Chuka at some point and I can get to an internet cafe. Maybe Lawrence can come too and I'll show him some pictures on facebook.

Haha. I have been eating non-stop today...no exaggeration. Breakfast in the morning before school. One hour later is tea time at school and one of the teachers brought a loaf of bread to share as well. Then 2 hours later was lunch with tea afterwards again. Then 2 hours later I visited Catherine and I ate papaya, avocado and rice, then we walked to her family's house and I had sugar cane and tea. Now I'm home and mama is preparing dinner. Oh boy. I may have brought alot of clothes but none of them are going to fit if I keep going at this rate. I'd still like to find a way to run here if I can. Maybe I'll ask about shorts...maybe the other volunters will wear them then atleast I wouldn't be the only one.

They weather actually is getting alittle chilly and it changes drastically from one day to the next, and from the morning to the afternoon. So I never know what the wear in the morning because it may or may not get warmer in the afternoon. I wish I lived alittle closer to the other volunteers. I don't mind making the walk up their but I never know if they are going to be there or not.

I think I have sunburn on my scalp in the areas between the braids...kinda sucks.
